Two Book Contests

The Vassar Miller Prize and the Anthony Hecht Prize

NVR readers may be interested in two upcoming poetry book contests.

The deadline for the first is very soon: manuscripts for the Vassar Miller Prize, judged by Philip Metres, are due October 31. The winning manuscript will be published by the University of North Texas Press in the Vassar Miller series, which is edited by John Poch. Full details are available here.

Submissions to the Anthony Hecht Poetry Prize, judged by Shane McCrae, are due on December 1. The winning manuscript will be published by Waywiser Presse. Full details are available here.

Since we’re talking submissions windows, I’ll also mention that New Verse Review opens for submissions to its winter issue on November 1.
